April 5 – May 4: DOUBLE DRAGON MONTH
On April 5th we transition into the third solar calendar month with the Yang Earth Dragon ( 戊辰）meeting the Yang Wood Dragon（甲辰) of 2024.
The Heavenly Stems of Yang Earth （戊） and Yang Wood （甲）are in a CLASH （冲） relationship. As the name Heavenly Stems conjure, the energies from the heavens, mother nature and the stars, are not harmonious. A clash does not always end in negative outcome, however, it does bode changes and the energies felt can be forceful, harsh and sometimes painful.
This is particularly poignant in relation to growth. The nature of a thriving Yang Wood is Growth. For a young shoot to sprout and grow, it has to break through the ground and poke itself upwards. In the case for April month, we have the Yang Earth which imagery is a Mountain. Just reflect on the intensity of effort and energy that would be needed for the Yang Wood to break through the crust of an especially barren mountain of 2024 (the imagery of the year).
Apply this reflection to your own situation. Are you stagnant in your career, relationship or home life?
The Earthly Branches refer to the animal signs on the bottom of the BaZi chart. The Year is Dragon, and the Month is also Dragon. When a Dragon meets another Dragon in BaZi (Chinese astrology), it is a Self-Punishment relationship. This terminology does incite a good deal of crackles and misunderstanding.
Self-Punishment typically involves a person sabotaging his or her own self, by making bad decisions or choosing poor options, consciously or subconsciously. These often manifest as emotional or real damages that seem to have been inflicted upon oneself.
If a person has a Dragon in their natal BaZi Chart, it is advisable for this month to not make any major decision on his or her own, when he or she can consult others to obtain better clarity. Otherwise, there is a good chance this individual will end up doing something that he or she might regret.
The Double Dragon Month has already reared its ferocious head with a 7.4 earthquake in Taiwan on Wednesday April 3rd. On Monday April 8th a total solar eclipse will occur through parts of Mexico, Canada and 13 states of the United States of America. There is already much talk about this most watched celestial event on the news. This April 8th solar eclipse is also preceded by the penumbra lunar eclipse on Sunday March 24th.
From an Eastern metaphysics perspective, astrological events such as solar and lunar eclipses bestow magical karmic multiplying effects. The effects of actions done, good or bad, will be magnified by a million times. Can we even imagine or fathom how special this month is going to be?
The month can be good or bad depending on how you work with the flow of energy.
